Michael Beach is a former Melbourne, now San Francisco resident who makes some spectacularly great music. His new 7″, A Horse/The Exhilarating Rise is a great example of someone writing away a song by leaving out everything that’s not necessary, particularly on the A-side. The instrumentation is peeled right back and the production is delightfully understated.
