Best new band name of 2011?
Perth have sprung out of “the same tree that bore the fruit of [Perth post-rock outfit] Apricot Rail”, and theirs is a mighty tasty fruit as well. After discarding the name Bayswater Waves due to potential legal issues (life is noise would hereby like to brand anyone threatening legal action over a band name “lame”), the band have chosen to name themselves after the second most isolated city in the world.
We’re hopeful of getting an official release in late 2011, but until then, here’s a taste:

This is pretty great… but now I have Sunday Bloody Sunday stuck in my head. Do they have any more sounds up? Hard band name to google.
