Vinyl Retention: B-Ju

Every Wednesday, Sardi lets us know what’s tickling his eardrums in the world of dance music…

B-JuBeing home to a swag of forward thinking beatmakers including Shlohmo, Swede:art and Pixelord, it’s always nice to see new material pop up on the Error Broadcast imprint. For their latest release, they’ve enlisted the talents of previous label contributor B-Ju, who brings us his latest EP, Prozac People.

Having featured on their very first release, B-Ju picks up from where he left off in 2010 on his Dog Day EP. Think cut up helium vocals, ‘80s synth pads and swinging beats very reminiscent of the recent WARP LP’s by Rustie & Hudson Mohawke.

Featuring a slew of catchy cuts and three remixes from eLan, 813 & Monolithium, the EP is a trip into 21st century beat music complete with quirky electronic bleeps and overdone compression.

A bag full of swag from this young German producer.

If you like what you hear, be sure to tune in to RTRFM’s Full Frequency between 3pm and 5pm, as Sardi and Dart explore the world of Drum and Bass and beyond.
